Welcome back! I know that bucket lists are very popular…but most of the time they say things like ‘go skydiving’ and ‘ride a motorcycle’. I disagree with these. Those aren’t 10 things that you MUST do you before you die…you need do things that better you as a person. That’s why I made this list. It consists of everything from braving a fear to moving away and I truly believe that these are 10 things to do before you die.
In case you missed the last 7 things, here they are:
Number 8 is Write A Book! However, I have kept in mind that not everyone is a writer, so I’m extending this to: Write A Book or Journal or Keep A Scrapbook. You can still write in secret and never publish anything and if you are not a writer at all then you can scrapbook and tell your story with your pictures!
So why do this? Well, there’s a couple reasons.
First of all, it preserves your memories. These memories of your life can be passed on to your children and then your children’s children! Think of all the fun stories that your great grandchildren could be telling about you someday!
Secondly, it feels good to write. And I don’t mean typing…I mean ‘writing’ (like old school pen and paper). The flow of your emotions through your pencil onto the paper is very therapeutic and calming and something that you should do quite often!
Lastly, you can share your knowledge with the world! I truly believe that everyone is an expert at SOMETHING…so why not write about it? Why keep that information in your brain? Instead, share it! Help other people learn it. If you have a great imagination, write a fantasy novel…if you love to cook, write a recipe book…if you’re an expert on nutrition, write a book about it! Whatever it is that you’re good at, give it to the world so that they can learn it too.
In summary, it doesn’t matter how you document your life…just do it! And if you’re an expert about something, share that knowledge with others instead of hoarding it for yourself!
Thank you so much for reading this series! There’s only one more week of posts before it’s done and I can’t wait to share the last 2 with you! Join me on Monday for #9 and in case you missed #1-7, here they are again:
