I know that bucket lists are very popular…but most of the time they say things like ‘go skydiving’ and ‘live like there’s no tomorrow’. I disagree with these. I am going to spend the next few weeks posting 10 things that you MUST do before you die! So without further ado…here is #1!
This one hits really close to home because my parents had to put our dog down this week. It’s easy to just get rid of a dog if they get annoying or they’re too much for you…but owning an animal their whole life is an amazing experience! We had Princess for almost 14 years and I wouldn’t trade any of that for anything! My heart may be breaking right now…and I may miss her like crazy…but she was a great dog and I love the memories that we had with her! Here are some of those precious memories:
Princess was SOOOOO cute as a pup! I remember bringing her home in the airplane. She rode right next to me inside a big chicken box and my job was to make sure that she didn’t jump out.
I loved running around with her outside. She was amazingly hyper when she was little! Most of the time I couldn’t keep up…
She LOVED the snow! If we weren’t throwing snow at her she would bury her nose in it and throw some up in the air 🙂
We tried to get her to point (to be a hunting dog). She actually did it a few times!
Another thing that she loved was sprinklers…she wasn’t scared of them like some dogs are…instead she would play with them or drink from them 😀
Ok…I was young…of course I would play dress up with my dog! (Dress up in the sense that I dressed her up like she was my doll…I didn’t dress up myself)
I had a few different cats while we lived in Oregon and she was actually friends with them! She would play with them all the time!
So this picture…is the last picture that I have of her. I was looking through my phone for the most recent picture of her and this is the only one that I have…I didn’t take enough pictures of my precious princey girl before it was too late 🙁 She loved sleeping like this though! She would sleep in the weirdest positions ever!
We will all miss her like crazy but we know that she is in a better place and she isn’t suffering anymore. Rest In Peace Princess
