I know…I have disappeared for the last few weeks and I apologize! Life just got a little crazy! I got a new job at the local gym and we have been finishing up our apartment! Good news! As of now, we have our kitchen almost complete! All we need is the refrigerator on Monday and I need to finish painting the cabinet doors for the kitchen. Then we will have a complete (and working) apartment! We are so excited! There are little things that still need done like the molding in the bathroom and painting the walls, etc. but it will finally be fully livable!
Since I haven’t posted for the last couple of weeks, I thought that I would share this fun Christmas craft that we did! My friend made her own stockings that were absolutely ADORABLE and it made me want to make some as well..which worked out well because mom would have had to buy a new stocking anyways for Emilio.
So we ventured out to JoAnn’s to pick out some fabric. Of course, the first thing we go to is the Christmas fabric and Emilio says ‘Does it have to be Christmas fabric?’ At first I was a little worried…I had envisioned our stockings being cute Christmas fabric…but of course…he wanted superhero fabric! This all turned out great though because both of our stockings completely fit our personality 🙂
These stockings were very easy to make. All you have to do is use another stocking as a guide and cut about an inch away from it to allow for the seam. Sewing it together was the tricky part…because we put batting in it and lined the whole inside, but it turned out very well! It made me remember how much I miss sewing! Hopefully we will start doing more and more projects like this 🙂
Join me tomorrow for the 12 days of Christmas…and what each day actually represents!
